Self-filling ampoules

TRACE Vacu-vials® offer the convenience and accuracy of the self-filling ampoule in a size designed specifically for low range photometric analysis.  The filled ampoule functions as a 22.5 mm  diameter cell which may be read in the CHEMetrics SAM single analyte meter* or any instrument which will accept a 22.5 mm cell. 

TRACE Vacu-vials® ampoules provide maximum simplicity and instrumental accuracy. Use them for precision analysis at low concentration levels. Each ampoule is 22.5 millimeters in diameter with a tapered, prescored tip.  Reagents are vacuum sealed inside.

The TRACE Vacu-vials® Method
The analyst immerses the ampoule in the sample and snaps the tip. The correct volume of sample is drawn in by vacuum, and a small inert gas bubble remains. Sample and reagent are then mixed by tilting the ampoule so the bubble travels from end to end. In 2 minutes or less, the developed color may be measured using any colorimeter or spectrophotometer which will accept a 22.5mm cell.
